On the ground in Nepal

Mission Projects

From the high Himalayan passes to the streets of Kathmandu, we go where the need is the greatest - bringing a message of inspiration, love, education, needed supplies and the hope of the Gospel.

Where We Work

Nepal is a land of breathtaking beauty and profound need. Millions live in remote villages with no road access, no clean water, and no medical care. Many have never heard the name of Jesus.

Lost Horizon Found partners with local believers and community leaders to bring lasting, holistic transformation — not just relief, but restoration. Every project is rooted in relationship and guided by prayer.

The Children's Church

The Children's Church is situated in the heart of Kathmandu, in a residential neighborhood that makes it easy for local children to come and learn the true meaning of the Bible. Established by Pastor Santosh and his wife, the church opened its doors five years ago. Today, more than 50 children and teens come to the church nearly every day of the week for fun, help with their schoolwork, a hot meal, and spiritual guidance.

Youth Retreats

Nepal’s church is young and growing, yet many communities still lack a local fellowship. For this reason, Lost Horizon Found reaches out to teens and youth in villages throughout the Himalayan region, inviting them to participate in regular Youth Camps that provide training, resources, and encouragement. The goal is always a self-sustaining, indigenous church.

Musical, Filmmaking & Editing

Through music, film, and media training, we are equipping the next generation of Nepali storytellers to share the Gospel and document the transformation happening across their nation. Students learn recording, video production, and editing skills that give them both a voice and a vocation.

Sporting Activities for Kids

Whenever Pastor Santosh is able to afford the rental of a nearby soccer pitch, he gathers the boys from the Children's Church and neighborhood for a couple of hours of soccer on the weekend. These outings have become a very special part of the ministry—a chance to run, compete, exercise, laugh, and simply enjoy being together. It may seem like a simple afternoon of soccer, but for these young people it provides something very important: healthy recreation, friendship, teamwork, and the opportunity to build stronger relationships with one another.

Education & Literacy

Literacy opens minds — and opens hearts to the Word of God. The Children's Church in Kathmandu provides educational support to local youth through an after-school program led by certified teachers. The church's classroom has become a popular destination for students, offering a quiet, dedicated environment to complete homework assignments as well as opportunities to participate in recreational activities, such as playing games and learning musical instruments.

Every Project Needs Partners

None of this happens without people who pray, give, and go. Whether you can support a water system, sponsor a student, or join a medical trek — there is a place for you in this work.
